YouTube Star Guava Juice Launches 10,010 Coin “Crypto-Optional” NFT Collection Via Spring

The latest designer to launch a range of NFTs is guava juice. The Filipino-American YouTube star, whose real name is King Fabitohas partnered with the merchandising platform Spring to launch an NFT collection that does not require buyers to own cryptocurrency.

The Guava Juice NFT line consists of 10,010 digital avatars, which resemble the titular Guava Juice fruit. The avatars are all unique, as each uses a different combination of the 164 layers hand-drawn by Fabito himself. In a video announcing NFT’s downfall (which is slated for May 25), Fabito encouraged his 16.8 million YouTube subscribers to “be brave and take the path no one else will take,” using language that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Crypto.com advertisement. The creator said any fan who follows his advice will “find the inspiration you didn’t know”.

This voiceover accompanies footage of Fabito as he draws his NFT components at the beach, in a parking lot, on the toilet, and in a variety of other locations:

So what do you actually get if you grab a random guava juice NFT five-pack? For starters, you’ll earn an address in advance for future Creator drops while unlocking gated merchandise and content. A press release teases some “secret plans” buyers will learn if they choose to indulge in Fabito’s latest project. “While we can’t disclose our roadmap yet, you have my word that each holder will not only be part of the community,” Fabito wrote, “but will enjoy exclusive benefits and access to content that I will create and post overtime.”

Fabito, who has been on YouTube since his early days, has been investing in crypto since 2017. In a statement, he said the rise of NFTs “reminded me of when I started making YouTube videos in 2006.” He noted that “the uncertain but promising road that YouTube held back then is reminiscent of where we are today with Web3. That same feeling is why I’m so invested in this space.

Although he himself is a crypto enthusiast, Fabito wanted to ensure that his biggest fans could acquire his social tokens even if their crypto wallets are empty. That’s why it chose to partner with Spring, which allows users to purchase NFTs with credit and debit cards through its Currency Bridge system. Guava Juice NFTs can also be purchased with ETH and MATIC cryptocurrencies. Transactions associated with collection will live on the Polygon blockchain, known for its ecological approach to Web3.

Spring partners with Fabito through its Mint-on-Demand program. “Our goal at Spring is to put the power in the hands of the creator,” the CEO said. Chris Lamontagne in a report. “With Mint-On-Demand, we’re helping creators and their fans dive into the depths of Web3 with the security and support of Spring. With this unique launch, we’re proud to do just that.

Before going solo as Guava Juice, Fabito was one half of the duo known as Wassabi production. This chain separated in 2016.
