Kim Kardashian’s best skin care advice is actually free

Whether she’s a budding lawyer, business mogul, TV personality, or full-time mom, Kim Kardashian wears many hats. With all the stress of working dozens of jobs, constantly traveling and living in the spotlight, it takes a lot to keep her skin glowing and dandruff free. Luckily for all of us who aspire to Kim K-like skin, Kardashian sat down Byrdie for their “What I Put on My Face” segment, where they chat about all their skincare secrets, favorite products, and grumpy animals.

After creating her own SKKN skincare line, fans everywhere were curious to see what her own skincare routine looked like and how it matched up with the products she created for SKKN. In her chat with Byrdie, the celebrity explained that she uses her nine-step system as a skin care routine, but it’s a little more detailed. “There are small changes between my morning and nighttime skincare routines—for example, we have two vitamin C products in the line, Oil Drops ($95) and Vitamin C8 Serum ($90). I prefer using the Oil Drops during the day as they are formulated with a highly stable, active form of Vitamin C to even out the skin and give it a lifelong glow. I mix a pump with our face cream ($85) for a really radiant sight.”

When it comes to what products she loves the most and what parts of her routine she can’t live with, the star explains that toner has made the biggest difference to her skin, and cleansing is the step she never does without. “I used to think toners were just water on your face, but I realized they really help balance your skin and even out your skin tone,” Kardashian explains. “I love our Skin Renewal Toner ($45).” She also explains, “I really try to never skip any part of my skincare routine—it’s such an important part of my self-care routine—but cleansing my face is something I always do before applying other products.”

In addition to outlining her own skin care habits, Kardashian also opened up about the best advice she’s ever learned when it comes to taking care of her skin, as well as her biggest skin care pet peeve. When it comes to skincare wisdom, the multi-talented mogul says the best advice she’s received is “that skincare isn’t just for your face! I always go down to the chest. Another great tip is that the best skin care routine is one that you actually do every day. While I consider my nine-step skincare routine essential, I know there are people who may think it’s overwhelming.”
