Fashion designer Taylor Dorry’s Beauty Rutine

“Hi! My name is Taylor Dorry (@taylordorry) and I’m a South Florida fashion designer and manufacturer. My instagram only started as my personal account, but it has evolved into both personal and my brand. Actually, it’s pretty good considering that that my brand is through and through me.I am also really grateful for Instagram because it has allowed me to build relationships with people I would not otherwise be able to communicate with.It is a community I have always wanted.

Being in the fashion industry is inevitable that you will be in the public eye. It’s all new to me and it will take me a while to get used to it. I’m definitely a little more aware of what kind of message I’m sending now. An image is often enough to translate who I am. I really try to stay as real as possible no matter what it looks like.

My mom has always been a beauty queen who cared even more. It seemed so easy to her. Growing up, I really felt out of my beauty and often wished I was more like her, but once I found my trust and community, I realized that what radiated most from my mom all along was her confidence. There it is.

I do practically nothing for my hair. I don’t do any styling and you can usually catch me cutting my own bangs, but I love skin care. I wash Dermalogica Daily Glycolic Cleanser in the morning, followed by a five-minute treatment of Nuface, Biolumi-C serum from Dermologica, Murad Oil-Control Mattifier Moisturizer and Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40. Then I apply Glossier Cloud Paint. cheeks, the better) and Boy Brow. At night, Glossier Cleanser Concentrate is washed, followed by Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with vitamin C from Youth to the People. I change and try a new product from time to time, but this is my current mode. I also love a good face mask. In addition to randomly acquired canvas masks, I use Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Minimizing Clay Mask several times a week.

I have to pass it to Murad Acne Body Wash and Spray. Sometimes I suffer from hormonal acne on my back and those of you who experience it know that it is not only unpleasant, but it can also be quite unpleasant. This body cleanser and spray was the only thing that really worked for me. A huge breakthrough in skin care for me was in the mid-twenties, when I started seeing my friend / esthetician Erin Valin (@chironskin.lab). It’s definitely a fixture. I really have to thank her for my current understanding and harmony with my skin. I think it’s really important to have skin contact in your life, whether it’s the trustworthy social account you follow or a professional. It will always get you back on track.

Nobody is perfect. I have learned that these are imperfections that are real stars. I also believe that the happier you are in your daily life, the more bright your appearance will be. I know it’s really hard, but try to make a living from something you love. Yeah and always use SPF !!

Decompression is really hard for me given that my broken ass started doing business all by myself. I work a lot. As has already been said, I really try to listen to my body and be nice to it. When I feel like “being lazy”, I just do it. I usually come out with a sense of inspiration and motivation. I definitely believe that creative people should sometimes do nothing.
Vivienne Westwood, it’s not a new obsession, but it just keeps inspiring and constantly evolving, while remaining true to herself.

Authenticity is most important to me not only in person, but also within my brand. Westwood inspires me to create without apology and to stand up for what I believe. Not to mention he’s getting old as a boss. ”
