Clinical Skin’s PolyPeptide Firming Serum is an essential anti-aging agent

Considering which anti-aging products to include in my skin care arsenal, I have learned from hundreds of interviews with dermatologists and aesthetics over the years that filling peptides are a critical piece of the puzzle. Clinical Skin Polypeptide Firming Serum contains not only four types of peptides, but also a list of other key ingredients that help turn hours on aging skin.

My skin type:

Combination. I am drier in the cold months and greaser in the warm due to the high humidity on the east coast.

Advantages:

This powerful serum, created by a team of skin scientists and dermatologists, helps increase collagen production for noticeably smoother skin with fewer fine lines and wrinkles and a fuller and more youthful appearance. These results are made possible by the exclusive ACE Technology brand, a state-of-the-art blend of antioxidants, ceramides and enzymes that protect against free radical damage, support the skin barrier and nourish aging skin cells.

Here’s what we know: “A” means vitamins C and E rich in antioxidants (free radical fighters); “C” is for biomimetic ceramides (Ceramide AP, Ceramide NP, Ceramide EOP and Ceramide NG), which are naturally occurring essential fats that make up about half of skin lipids and form a skin barrier; and “E” means the enzyme superoxide dismutase, which also occurs naturally in our skin and breaks down potentially harmful oxygen molecules, making it a powerful antioxidant with anti-aging properties.

If it sounds like a winning recipe, I haven’t gotten to the core of this serum that makes it so impressive, and why we chose it as the winner of the NewBeauty Award 2022: It also contains four types of peptides –Argireline, Matrixyl, palmitoyl tripeptide-28 and copper peptide – to increase collagen production.

Key ingredients:

Peptides, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, ceramides, enzyme superoxide dismutase, vitamins and minerals

What’s free:

Parabens, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes and mineral oils

How it smells:

Nothing. It is free of synthetic fragrances and none of the other ingredients contribute to the scent.

How is it:

Gel-cream (or water cream) mixed with serum. It is very light and is quickly absorbed without greasy or sticky residues. I give Clinical Skin a big thumbs up for somehow combining all these powerful active ingredients into a serum that is so weightless. My skin was so soft and smooth after application and layered well with another serum, which I then applied as my moisturizer.

How to use it:

Apply one full dropper to dry skin in the morning and evening after cleansing and before hydration. You can also use it on the neck and décolleté (and the backs of your hands if you really want to spread love).

Bottom Line:

It is a clinical-level skin care product with highly effective ingredients for someone who is serious about skin care. It’s also a great addition to aesthetic procedures in the office, such as injections, fillers and other treatments that stimulate collagen, and I love the texture and the fact that it is fragrance-free. It’s an investment, but it pays to turn back time on aging skin.

Price / where to buy:
